Biography of David A.
Sizemore
David Sizemore has spent over twenty
five years in restaurants, and has worked every position possible,
everything from dishwasher to chef. In restaurants at Tahoe and Reno,
in California, and Nevada, to Seattle, Washington- Everything from,
French, Italian, Asian-Fusion, Tex-Mex, American comfort food and
California cuisine. David was a chef for ten years, and opened three
restaurants in that time.
In addition to a love of cooking,
and good food, he is also an artist, and has created and sold
numerous works over the years, in watercolors, oils, acrylic, clay,
stone, and has placed highly in several art competitions. After
becoming disabled several years ago, he found himself watching a lot
of cooking shows, and restaurant related programs. After cursing and
throwing his pillow one too many times at the TV at incompetent,
UN-knowledgeable restaurant owners felt compelled to write a book
sharing his knowledge of how to run a successful restaurant. Much to
his surprise he discover he loved writing. He also has discovered
that much to his dismay that he is a senior. And now writes articles
on a variety of subjects from a seniors perspective, meaning he is
pretty grumpy and subject to telling children to get of his lawn, and
yelling at clerks that won't get off their cells phone at work and
ring up his purchases.
He now resides in Carson City with
two beautiful cats, where he stills pursues his art career, writing
articles, and his second book. He has just completed his first book
on opening and running restaurants, which he promply put in drawer as
he should, and is writting a second beter book.
